3012Marie-Laure and her festive Comptoir looks!

Published by Miss Comptoir A GIRL, A COMPTOIR

Marie-Laure is a (very) pretty blonde with the look of a surfer – as it happens, she lives in Hossegor ! would you believe – who describes herself as « a full-time dreamer and blogger » who « spends a lot of time living out her dreams and talking about her everyday life on her blog called Le Monde est à Nous ».

For the end of year holiday season, she imagined two looks, one as a charming hobgoblin for Christmas and the other « be on your best » for New Year.

She has even got a small « Leon » bulldog, would you believe that too!

2812Fine books to leaf through during the holidays…

Published by Miss Comptoir CULTURAL BRIEFS

At the fireside, nibbling chocolates… Here is a little selection of fine fashion and photo books that we have recently discovered. We are making the most of the calm days of the winter holidays to take in a host of beautiful images and nourish our minds.

“Père et Mère” – Yves Haddad, released late October 2011. Over four years, Yves Haddad asked 155 well-known artists, illustrators, photographers or visual artists (Robert Crumb, Philippe Druillet, Loustal, Lorenzo Mattotti, Speedy Graphito, etc.) to create a portrait of their parents in the form of a diptych with a representation of the Father and one of the Mother.

2612Fashion lesson: the silk top

Published by Miss Comptoir COMPTOIR TREND

This time, Déborah Reyner, fashion stylist for ELLE, tells us about the incredibly glamorous and transparent silk top… It's no longer available online but in stores.

She styles it in three looks, from a totally offbeat to an all-out effect for full-on evening glamour!

Look 1: boyish folk

A boyish outfit with a sexy touch and a host of contrasts… We’d rather stick to flats in our derbies, with 7/8-length pants and bouclé knit, and for the feminine touch, a silk top and wide-brimmed hat. A folk look to your heart’s content!

Published by Miss Comptoir CULTURAL BRIEFS

You have been asking for it for a long time and here you are: today the guest star is Nantes! All those who know this city describe it to us in glowing terms: a beautiful, young and dynamic city, and what’s more, not very far from the Ocean.

But that’s enough blathering on, you are the ones best placed to talk about Nantes. What you should do, what you must see… Once again, lots of you gave us your ideas and addresses. Thank you!

Lunch or dinner

Emeline Perdriau: “Version Française: at the heart of Nantes, it’s a cozy and elegant restaurant offering cuisine with a blend of influences, bringing out the flavors of East and West. The little added extra is the diverse and varied cooking lessons. An address to remember.”

Version Française - 12, rue Gresset - 44000 Nantes

Delphine Boursier: “The restaurant, La Cigale, is a must! A pleasure for the eyes and taste buds!”

2012Glittery Christmas !

Published by Miss Comptoir COMPTOIR TREND

What do you say to a pretty half-rock, half-chic look for Christmas? There’s nothing better than head-to-toe black sprinkled with touches of glitter.

Look 1: pants, but shiny pants if you please. On the top, a two-fabric top with touches of lurex; a little iridescent leather bag over the shoulder; and suede boots on the feet with an extra detail: shimmery piping on the seams. However, if you add a jacket, no glitter please – keep it black and simple.
