The little denim jacket is the toast of the town! Back in force for the past few seasons, it has become a basic that it is difficult to do without this summer… (we even know some people who slip it on under their winter coat or trench coat when it’s raining ;). It does everything: an eighties look, hippy chic with a long dress, or casual, it can also tone down a smart look. Top fashionistas have already successfully tried out a denim jacket over their little evening dress!

It adds an offbeat touch to a little summer dress: romantic in flounced cotton, a hint of the eighties with the bandana print or the little black evening dress, it’s a winning combination every time:

It’s the season of happy events! Who isn’t invited to a wedding in the next few weeks? ;) There are also open-air cocktails, romantic outdoor dinners, the Cannes film festival for those who are lucky enough to go, graduation ceremonies, etc. A host of opportunities to dress up to the nines and wow the crowd with a pretty dress that makes a change from the traditional little black dress. This time color is in the spotlight!

For a stylish romantic dinner: a look that is ultra smart but full of freshness with its pretty butterfly print (which you can see here in the Dahlia orange version) and its touches of coral and orange red on the accessories.

We’ve got some new favourites this week!

We begin with La Grande Sophie, who in February released her 6^th album, La Place du Fantôme. Thirty-eight minutes of pure joy during which she reveals herself with grace and modesty. The lyrics are introspective and offer a glimpse of the singer’s secret garden, which remains elusive. La Grande Sophie hides nothing of her sensitivity, vulnerability and brilliance. Contrary to appearances, the record has nothing sad about it. It is full of upbeat, sometimes dancy rhythms. Sophie’s voice is full and has a range we had seldom heard before. She deals out pop, folk, funk and even disco tracks, all the while unveiling her secret fears and deep-down pain. We’re going to be listening to La place du Fantôme for a good while yet! We particularly like Ne m’Oublie Pas and Quand On Parle de Toi.

The Cristobal Balenciaga, collector of fashion exhibition is being held at the Cité de la Mode et du Design. Once again, it is not a retrospective but rather an astonishing immersion in the world of Balenciaga and his inspirations.
