Mods (short for Modernists) are still spawning imitations fifty years later and making an appearance in our collection. But who are they? They are fans of music (especially jazz and British rock), ride Vespas, dance until the early hours of the morning and are really devoted to their look: clear, straight cuts, impeccably styled, often short hair and, of course, Peter Pan collars ;) The Comptoir designers have been inspired by this highly distinctive look and mixed it with the rigor of the German constructivist movement to create a modernized version. The proof in three looks worn by Ruth, a pretty Spanish graphic designer!
We begin with a pants look in a pretty green monochrome. It’s all about the detail and the choice of materials with silk for the blouse and velvet for the jacket. This deceptively casual outfit is perfect day or night!

We begin with an incredible pop-rock band that truly stamped its mark on the 90s, and it’s safe to say we all know at least one of their songs. Yes, Blur is celebrating 21 years in the business! To mark this anniversary, they aren’t releasing a greatest hits album – that would be too easy and it’s been done before (their “Best of” was released in 2000) – but a box set containing 21 CDs, one for every year they have been with us. It includes the band’s 7 albums, 4 CDs of rarities and unreleased tracks, 3 DVDs, one vinyl record and a collector’s edition book.
