Here are three destinations for a pre-vacation long weekend as a romantic getaway or with friends, to relax in the calm and sunshine; a vacation before your vacation without the August crowds!
Let’s start with Santorin, that little paradisiacal crescent-shaped Greek island, with its little white villages and dazzling blue sea. Unfortunately, not everything has always been preserved from mass tourism and we advise you to avoid Oia for that reason. Instead, head in the direction of Finikia lower down, a really cute troglodyte village where you can stay in Heliophos, a place that is half-guesthouse, half-holiday home run by the welcoming Sofia. The rooms are tastefully and elegantly furnished in pure Greek tradition in seven former grottos that have been renovated and equipped with all modern comforts.
On the menu, a copious breakfast put together by Sofia, with Greek yoghurt, honey, jam and homemade cinnamon cakes (and a view over the sea!), village tours, the beach, drinks in the open air, and dinner in the surrounding restaurants. A real favorite!

Another must-see destination in a more remote area of Southern Italy, in Puglia to be exact, at the heart of the country in the middle of olive groves and vines: Lama di Luna. It is a “biomasseria” (organic farm) full of character with its stone walls, large white beds, old library and terrace overlooking the vines, where – the ultimate pleasure – you can savor a totally organic breakfast (fruit, cheese, bread, jam, etc.) or dinner. Even the wine is organic! From there, you can set off on long walks, go to visit the region or quite simply enjoy the swimming pool with a view.

Agritourism is a booming business in Italy; why not discover other great destinations on the website http://www.agriturismo.com/.
Now let’s take a little trip to Brittany, for a destination that is not too far away yet offers a real break from it all. Ideally located between the Pink Granite coast and the Goëlo coast, you will find Les Korrigann’ès, a small guesthouse hidden at the heart of a little town full of character, prettily nicknamed the “little Venice of Trégor.” Enjoy strolls at the seaside, bike rides in the village or siestas in the garden. The house is also home to a Tea Shop, where you can indulge your sweet tooth. It won’t do you any harm; everything is made using organic products!
